Steak Rubbed Burgers with Queso Fresco and Avocado

Ingredients

  • 1½ pounds ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons Tom Douglas Steak Rub
  • 4 buns
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • ½ cup crumbled queso fresco or substitute 4 slices of your favorite cheese
  • 1 large, ripe avocado (pitted, peeled and sliced)



Procedure

Fire up the grill. Form the ground beef into 4 patties. Pat the rub over both sides and grill burgers over direct heat. Turn as needed until done to your liking.

Lightly brush the cut sides of the buns with oil and toast lightly.

Add cheese to each burger.

Top with avocado.
