Teens Cook: Korean Fried Chicken

Menu: Koreatown Fried Chicken with Garlic Glaze - Korean-Style Potato Salad with Apples - Soy and Kimchi-Braised Kale

Class Description: Does your teen love Korean food but think it’s too complicated to make at home? This class will change their mind. Practice braising poultry and vegetables, making a kimchi-forward fried rice and achieving the ultimate sunny-side up egg. Plus, we’ll show them how to churn an egg-free ice cream that’ll have their tastebuds dancing Gangnam Style.

What To Expect: Great cooking isn't about recipes—it's about techniques. In our classes your teen works together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • Your teen will work with other students in groups of 4
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 16 students
  • Students will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please have teens wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • Your teen will enjoy a generous taste of every dish
  • All class participants receive a coupon good for 10% off in-store purchases good for the duration of the camp
Sur La Table recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please contact your local Cooking School before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
