3-Day Teens' Series: Global Street Food

Ages 13 - 17
Send your teen on a culinary trip around the world, sort of. In this all-new series, your young chef will explore spices and ingredients specific to different countries. Teens will get plenty of hands-on practice making global street food favorites—from homemade tortillas and salsa to from-scratch strawberry shortcake. Designed for ages 13-17, this series will make your teen more competent and confident in the kitchen.

Classes run about two hours each and last for three consecutive days. Young chefs will enjoy generous samples of each delicious dish and take home a packet of recipes. Share your love of cooking and boost your teen's confidence in the kitchen with a culinary experience they’ll never forget.

What To Expect: Great cooking isn't about recipes—it's about techniques. In our classes your teen works together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • Your teen will work with other students in groups of 4
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 16 students
  • Students will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please have teens wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • Your teen will enjoy a generous taste of every dish
  • All class participants receive a coupon good for 10% off in-store purchases good for the duration of the camp
Sur La Table recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please contact your local Cooking School before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
