Kids & Teens Cook: Taco Tuesday!

Menu: Homemade Flour Tortillas - Fish Tempura Tacos with Roasted Salsa Verde - Skirt Steak Tacos with Mojo de Ajo and Salsa Ariera

Class Description: We bet your young chef can’t bear another boring taco. Easily up their Taco Tuesday game by letting them learn to make their own corn tortillas and salsa at home. Plus, they’ll get hands-on practice braising and sautéing to create savory, crave-worthy toppings that will make you—and the entire family—fall in love with tacos all over again.

What To Expect: Great cooking isn't about recipes—it's about techniques. In our classes kids and teens work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • Your young chef will work with other students in groups of 4
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 16 students
  • Students will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please have young chefs wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • Students will enjoy a generous taste of every dish
  • All class participants receive a coupon good for 10% off in-store purchases good for the duration of the camp
Sur La Table recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please contact your local Cooking School before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
