Description
Prepare delicious, healthy meals in 1/3 the time with this new easy-to-use pressure cooker. Whether you’re a novice or a pressure-cooking pro, you’ll appreciate the fool-proof safety features that take away all the fear and guesswork. If cooking level is exceeded, cooker automatically depressurizes through the control valve. Auto-lock feature prevents lid from being opened until pressure is completely released.
Unlike most pressure cookers, the Vitaquick doesn’t release steam while in use. This reduces the loss of liquid and vitamins and keeps your kitchen cooler. Plus, it’s silent under pressure—no hissing, rattling or spitting.
Unique CookStar all-stove base works with any stovetop heat source, including induction. Delivers superior heat diffusion and retention and is guaranteed to have no hot spots. Conical shape ensures easy stackability without wedging or scratching. Base is engineered to lie flat for life.
Cooker is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup, and there’s no need to remove main control valve—just rinse the lid under running water. Includes handy steamer basket and tripod stand. Lifetime warranty. Made in Germany.

Awesome pressure cooker. Easy to use with great results. I use at least once weekly. I bought a smaller one for my busy professional daughter.

Love my Fissler pressure cookers>I have used them for many years and being a home cook I found that there is no other way to prepare healthy delicious meals of all international flavors better than a home cooked meal for my family and guests using these magnificent pots. Thanks for still carring them at your store. Jo Arguedas.

why is this cooker so much more expensive than cookers same size made by fisher?
BEST ANSWER: I did a lot of research before making this purchase. Quality and the place of manufacturing plays a key part of any purchase we make. We would rather wait and save more money to get the quality we desire. I use this cooker often and have no doubt it will last and can be past on to another generation. I purchase good quality food and want to be sure I have quality cookware to prepare it in. I want to have confidence in our cookware and food. I wouldn't use any other pressure cooker manufactured today. Very pleased with our purchase and know others who intend to make the same purchase. Hope this helps you Charlotte.

When I close the lid in locked position, there still seems to be a little play on lid at the opposite side from the handle. (you can move left to right about maybe few mm...) Is this normal? (pressure cooker I imagine should have totally secure lid?)
BEST ANSWER: I own this pressure cooker for abut 5 months. Have been quite happy with it. After I lock the handle, there's a very slight movement of the handle if I give it a slight push in the opposite direction (away from me). I would think the lid will be totally immobile after it comes to pressure. I contacted Fissler's customer service via email initially with a question and received a very thorough response. I think the best approach for you is to contact their customer service. Good luck with your pressure cooker. I love mine.

my oncern is cooking lentils things that tend to froth and foam. I like manking Indian food and it is so much quicker in a pressure cooker but the old fashioned dangerous ones didn't clog and many of these new ones that have tons of safety features also say DO NOT USE WITH FOAMY FROTHY FOODS..clogs the release or sensor or something so it is either the old fashioned ones that rock rattle and roll but work or maybe this??? any comments??
BEST ANSWER: I add a tablespoon of oil to the lentils or beans before starting the pressure cooking, and this stops the foaming.
