Description

If you love fresh pineapple like we do, this tool is a must-have. Our stainless-steel pineapple slicer cores and slices a whole pineapple quickly, safely and easily. Simply slice off the top of a fresh pineapple and twist the slicer onto the exposed fruit to create perfect pineapple rings.

Easy to clean and store, the sharp, serrated stainless-steel blade was designed to accommodate most pineapple sizes. Simply cut the crown of the pineapple off, center and press corer down into flesh of the fruit, turning slowly to get it started.

Be sure not to go through the bottom of the fruit if you wish to use the shell as a bowl for presentation. Pull the handle out of the shell, if it is difficult to pull out, give it a wiggle, as sometimes suction can be created. Once you remove it, your pineapple will be perfectly cut and cored!

Then press the two buttons on the turning knob to release the handle from the corer and slide your spiral cut fruit rings off of the corer and serve.

Easy as Pi
I've seen this ""tool"" for a couple of years and kind of laughed at it. I thought it was silly. I'm not a big tool user in the kitchen as I prefer to use a knife for most chores. However, my son is currently addicted to pineapple and purchasing it pre-cut was killing me! Cutting it myself was time consuming and messy. I decided to purchase this tool and try it out. Wow. This sliced through the pineapple with ease and I was able to just pop the pre-sliced spirals out. You are left with a hollow pineapple begging to be filled with rum, put in the fridge and allowed to infuse the alcohol with the pineapple flavor! You can thank me for that later

Super easy to use
Really enjoy fresh pineapple, and this gadget makes it so easy to get the pineapple out of the shell.
One comment - this does not produce rings. It's a continuous spiral of pineapple. Not a problem for me - I lightly cook the pineapple to serve with teriyaki chicken. For a fruit bowl, it's easy to cut the pineapple into chunks.

Christmas gifts
Bought three of these-two for others and one present for myself. This is the greatest gadget-even with arthritis in my hands -no problem to use. The corer makes a nice clean cut and slices for fresh pineapple-and how easy it was to use the shell for a nice presentation of mixed berries. It also cleaned up perfectly in the dishwasher. A plus all over.

As easy as advertised
I love pineapple but it's a huge pain to cut. Wasn't sure about this and was completely shocked at how well it worked. Very little mess, very easy to use and clean! The only draw back is the waste of fruit lost around the edge and at the bottom but unfortunately unavoidable.

Great Tool
I recently use this tool for my pineapple drinks for the fourth of July bbq. I must say that I love it but make sure you becareful not to go too deep because with one of my pineapples I twisted the slicer to far and ended up removing the core when I didn't want to. This is a great and must buy product.

I wanted to get uniformly cut fresh pineapple slices for a recipe. I once had a tool like this one and it didn't work. Sur La Table told me they sell lots of these, so I gave it a try. The results were great. A tool that works extremely well. So I bought one online and shipped it as a gift.

Because most of the ones available locally are made of plastic, and this one is stainless steel. I am rough on kitchen utensils, and plastic just won't do for me.

Can you remove the slicing mechanism if you just want to core without making slices?
Betsy on Sep 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I do not see any way to remove the slicing mechanism, it is all welded together into one piece.
I question the use of the term "ratcheting handle" to describe this product. I can find no evidence of a ratchet mechanism either physically on the tool or in the application of it. The tool, itself, works well and I intend to continue using it. I am confused as to why you chose to describe it as having a ratcheting feature. If I'm missing something, please let me know how the feature works? Thanks Terry
A shopper on Aug 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This term was chosen because ratcheting is the action used to get the corer down into the pineapple. There isn't any sort of extra feature; it's just meant to describe how to use the tool.
Is there a lot of wasted pineapple fruit?
PB2015 on May 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Depends on size (diameter) of fruit. The first (and only so far while visiting family) that I did was a pineapple just slightly larger than the tool. There was no wasted fruit. At home now getting ready to go get our own tool. Bought a pineapple and I can tell it is wider than than the tool so there might be some fruit left along the sides...
How ro remove pinapple core.?
A shopper on Aug 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Super simple! Slice the green top off, place the corer on top and twist (it's not a hard twist, very easy). The pineapple comes out sliced. I really enjoy this tool.
What's the difference between this pineapple corer and slicer for $14.95 and the other one costing $40.00?
Darrell R on Nov 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The $40 one has more stainless steel, an ergonomic handle & a lifetime guarantee.
