the best ever!
I finally, after 10 years, had to replace my silpats - not because they were not functioning properly but because my partner complained that they looked 'ugly' [well they were well used and kind of dark] so I purchased four different sizes to replace my 'ugly' ones. I cannot imagine cooking/roasting/baking without them....they are just perfectio

I can't live without my Silpat!
I love my Silpat and can't imagine cooking without it. I use it mainly for baking and nothing sticks to it. My husband even took it on his fly-in fishing trip and got his cousin ""hooked"" on it too. No fish stuck to the bottom of the pan

Excellent Product
Silpat mats are excellent for baking cookies, sliced potatoes, appetizers such as spanakopita triangles, or phyllo cups. The mat protects the baking pan, allows for the items to cook more evening and crisp on both sides, and the nonstick finish works perfectly. Clean up is a breeze. Recommend for both half pans and full pans/sheets. A quality made product that lasts. Note that it is a bit "slick" and we wish that Silpat manufacturers would create a "storage" box or bag for the mats.

Any baker is a star with these
Love these mats!! Ended up buying a second set, they are so great. Use to using parchment paper but hate having to cut to fit pans. These mats work even better than parchment. Couldn't believe how uniform my cookies baked! Would highly recommend. Helps make even the average baker look Expert! You won't be disappointed.

A definite must for the Nordicware baking sheet pan
Using this pad with the baking sheet pan leaves little mess to clean up afterwards. It's a bit on the expensive side, but it will prove itself over time.

How do you get stains and stuck on material from the Silpat?
BEST ANSWER: I find that soaking will loosen anything that sticks. As for stains, I use mine a lot and over time they do stain. I deal with it for as long as I can (a couple years or so) then toss them and put a new one on my Christmas list!

Can I use this mat on my induction cooktop?
Sur La Table Silpat ¼ Sheet Baking Mat
BEST ANSWER: If you have a sheet or tray or pan that heats up on your induction cooktop, there's no reason you couldn't put the mat in the pan. If the cooktop heats up on it's own (like a griddle) you could use it there. But it won't respond to the induction and heat up on its own...

Have the corners been changed on these mats? They were all 45 degree angles and now this picture shows 90 degree angles.
BEST ANSWER: Just inventoried all of my half-sheet (7) and quarter-sheet (4) mats. All of Silpats I brought from France and the 6 from Sur la Table have 45 degree clipped corners. I have 2 mats labeled Artisan Metalworks I never use, which have square corners, are a few millimeters too long and 2 centimeters too short for a half-sheet pan and won't lie flat because the corners aren't clipped.

Can you use these to roast veggies?
BEST ANSWER: Yes. We roast veggies on ours every day. And then we clean them off and bake cookies on them. They clean up super easy and don’t absorb flavors. We have noticed over the last 4 years that the repeated roasting of veggies with olive oil changes the color of the silpat but does not alter the material in any way.
