Is this stainless steel, or will it rust?
BEST ANSWER: Stainless. I have used mine for 4+ years, cleaned in the dishwasher all with no problem, no rust. They are the size of a golf ball so buy accordingly (I have 3).

How many teaspoons of loose tea fit in the 3" tea infuser?
BEST ANSWER: Mine is about 1 1/2" in diameter when closed. I estimate the total volume of mine when closed is 5 or so measured teaspoons.
