Produced from premium, hand-selected beans cultivated in Tahiti, this vanilla extract from Nielsen-Massey offers a unique floral, fruity flavor. Because Tahitian vanilla is sensitive to heat, it’s best used to add depth of flavor to refrigerated and frozen dishes such as ice cream, fruit pies and custards.

Nielsen-Massey’s proprietary cold extraction process preserves the more than 300 flavor compounds contained in natural vanilla to create the distinctive flavor that’s prized in professional bakeries and home kitchens alike. Hands-down, this is the finest vanilla available—you’ll find it in all our baking classes.

Vanilla is one of the world’s most labor-intensive flavors, demanding a human touch at each step during the 18-month growing process. Nielsen-Massey has built solid, long-term supplier relationships that provide access to the world’s highest-quality beans. Skilled farmers hand-pollinate vanilla vines daily and pick beans when they are at their peak. Beans are then hand cured for six to eight months to cultivate complex flavors. Each bean is carefully evaluated for quality, so that each of Nielsen-Massey’s vanilla products delivers distinctive, pure vanilla flavor that customers have enjoyed for more than 100 years.

The Best Vanilla Ever
I really love the vanilla extract. I've used this extract for ice cream, cakes, pastries, and bread pudding. This is the best I've ever tasted. It is so full of flavor, and the best on the market. You can actually see the bean in the liquid version, and the aroma is so rich. Try it to flavor coffee --- yum

You need to only smell the aroma of Tahitian Vanilla as compaired to Madisgar Vanilla to know why I purchased this. A blind smell test will convince you.

Bottom Line: If you want to do serious baking, with a serious tasting product, and you will use Tahitian Vanilla. Yes, it costs (a LOT) more...but your baked goods will taste superior. Pay the money...get the product.

I'm a big fan of single-sourced spices and chocolates because of the distinctive flavor that a single source can produce. My sister loves to bake, she is running out of vanilla, she loved the single-source Vietnamese Cinnamon that I got for her a couple years ago, and it's her birthday...so, Voila!
