Perfect pot!
This is the perfect size and shape for making big pots of spaghetti sauce and curries. And it's living up to our non-stick expectations as a Scanpan!

What is the difference between the Scan Pan Classic and the Scan Pan IQ Dutch ovens?m
A shopper on Sep 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Scanpan IQ is induction compatible; Scanpan Classic is not. Scanpan IQ also has more updated, ergonomic handles.
how does Scan pan compare with LE Cruset for dutch ovens ?
A shopper on Nov 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: That's tough to say, as they're so different, it would be like comparing apples & oranges. Advantages to Scanpan are that they're nonstick, light weight & come with a glass lid. Advantages to Le Creuset is that they can be heated to extremely high temperatures & have very tight fitting lids, which helps keep in moisture. Scanpan is easier to clean, but Le Creuset does a better job browning cuts of meat.
I just broke yesterday the glass lid for my dutch oven Scanpan Classic. The pot itself is just under 13", what size lid do I need? 12.5" or 12.25"?
Manuel G on Feb 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: My scanpan classic dutch oven measures 13" outside the rim and it uses the 12.25" lid.
Use in oven and how high temp?
A shopper on Nov 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I always think of a dutch oven as an indoor version of a smoker, so I go low and slow, 275 to 325 works well for roasts. I guess it depends on what you're cooking, you might start a soup or stew at a higher temp and turn it down to simmer for a bit. This is a fairly new item to me, but I'm pretty impressed so far. I feed people for a living, so I'm pretty picky about my kitchen equipment.
Oven safe up to 500F that applies for both Dutch and lid?
A shopper on Sep 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, to both
will the scanpan be heated on an induction cooktop?
A shopper on Jun 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The Scanpan Classic line is not induction compatible.
I have the curved stockpot and the center has blistered. Is it under a lifetime warranty?
A shopper on Feb 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We would advise contacting the manufacturer to see if this is covered under their lifetime warranty.
