Love these guys
I purchased these pot handle holders as I was so tired of burning my wrists on the pot handles after taking a pan out of the oven and setting it on the stove top. Well, as simple as it is, these guys are fantastic. Thanks to whomever, devised these.

Good invention
I got tired to burning pot holders, and thought the sleeve for a pan handle would solve that problem. They do. I just slip one on over a handle. They don't get hot, and I won't be catching them on fire.

Do not accidentally leave on a pan that's in the oven!
These work as promised to hot pan handles, however, I forgot and left one on a cast iron pan handle in the oven. When I opened the oven 5 minutes later, I was hit with a cloud of smoke containing a terrible chemical smell. The pad was ok, but the whole house smelled awful.

Too big for crepe pans
Way to big for crepe pans or others that have thinner handles.

Will these handles work on the 6 1/2 in cast iron skillets?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but I cut off the "red lip" under the "black flap" because it was too close to the flame on my Viking range......but I can't live without them.....my 12" cast iron fits the larger one perfectly, I do recommend using them, especially with cast iron......Brasher Falls, NY

Can these be but in oven while cooking and not get hot?
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely not. I accidentally left one on in the oven and was hit with a cloud of the worst smell when I opened the oven. My oven still smells funky. Also, the pad was very hot. On the plus side, the pad survived with no damage.

Can you cook in oven with the mit on?
BEST ANSWER: It would probably be unharmed, but I wouldn't recommend it, as the mitt will get very hot and you won't be able to grab the handle to remove the pan.
