Perfect for crafting soups and stews especially for two
We bought this elegant piece earlier this year--one of our first Atlantis purchases. We LOVE it for making Indian faire like Dal Tarka, Brown Stew, Vegetable Sambar and different homemade stews and soups. Once, my wife boiled potatoes with it, was distracted accidentally so the water was gone. The spuds burned only on the bottom and we thought it ruined. Yet, a little Bartender's Helper and some water brought back the finish without consequence!! We hear it's great for melting chocolate but haven't tried it yet. PERFECT for serving two or three. And, so easy to cook with. Be mindful the sides heat very well.

Amazing
This pan is the perfect size for a family of five, it heats quickly, stays evenly hot, and the shape makes it easy to stir my sauces. Cleaning it is a breeze. Perfect plan, glad I bought it, no buyer's remorse here.

I have the larger conical saucier which makes flawless custards, sauces, & puddings. The rounded sides make it easier to clean then straight-sided pans.

I like the quality of the one item I have from Demeyere (the I5 searing pan). I like the absence of rivets, the handle and the heft of this cookware. The shape of the saucier is supposed to be good for delicate sauces, and the volume should be great for other things like soups. Looking forward to using it.

Bought for the quality of their products.

it's a beauty, smooth, no rivets, there is a copper layer & silver layer in the base for ultimate performance. The finish is a treatment by removing impurities...not adding chemicals, so a pure finish. The design is just brilliant.

I prefer this line of Demeyere to all their others. It is substantial, lighter weight than my Le Creuset and perfect for small batches of soup or oatmeal for my kids.
Joy Z on Dec 6, 2017
This was on the recommendation of my sister.

This saucier is wonderful. It heats quickly, holds the heat, is balanced on the stove, and is a great shape for all my sauces.

welded handles on fabulous cookware, and I needed to replace aging pans.

I have other items from this product line and they are excellent. The even temperatures, fast heating, and easy cleaning make this a great tool in the kitchen - despite its weight.

What are the dimensions of these two pans?
Wade S on Mar 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The smaller of the two measures approx 3.5 inches tall and 8.5" diameter at the top. The larger one measures roughly 4" tall and 10" in diameter at the top.
Can you please tell me, how well or poorly does the lid fit on the 2.1 QT. atlantis conical saucier? I have heard of the 3.5 QT one having a quite loose fit (which some like and others do not). So I would like to know specifically for this 2.1 QT. atlantis conical saucier.
A shopper on May 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Sure I'd be happy to answer by telling you that indeed it's a loose fitting top. But it's not all over place. Should you boil water with the lip on top steam will easily escape when I use my 2.1 conical it's usually in the service of preparrring a custard base for a chocolate pudding. But simmering soups the lip goes on to finish the task with ease. A great piece of cookware. I suspect you'll be pleased all around. Give it a go.
