Murakami makes coffee this way........
Well, at least he describes Oshima pouring a drip filter in Kafka on the Shore. What is there not to like? The vessel is glass and there are no electrical or digital parts. It provides the ideal conditions for low tech brewing, a solution of finely ground coffee, and hot water, filtered through paper. Let yourself have a Zen experience and a perfectly brewed cuppa java. The real variable of course is the coffee itself!

A shopper on Oct 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It has one large hole.
Are there any plastic parts to this product? The photo gives the impression that the base of the glass brewer looks plastic. Thanks!
Karen A P on Jul 31, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Karen,
Indeed yes, the handle and base are plastic. The clear cone is glass. I have been making coffee using the pour over method for 25 years. This is a very good set up. I hope this helps with your decision.
Cecile
can it be used with the stainless steel filter?
A shopper on Jan 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No. The stainless steel filter does not fit.
