The Best!
I love these tomatoes! I use to have a local deli bring them in for me in California. Since moving to Idaho, been unable to locate here or someone to bring them in for me. Shipping charges were outrages. I would bring back cases when I would travel. So happy Sur La Table is now carrying them. Well worth the price.

A can of San Marzano tomatoes will never go unused. I have a favorite vegetarian chili recipe that I make at least once a year, and the tastier the tomatoes, the tastier the chili.

Because it was real DOP

I hope these are truly grown in Italy. I will check. Beware that a lot of the San Marzano tomatoes sold in markets are actually grown in the USA or elsewhere which defeats the reported taste benefits of "being grown in the ash of the mountain". So far I have not found that the taste of the cans of San Marzano tomatoes that I have purchased has matched the reputation. Still haven't quite given up. Will give these a try.

Your picture doesn't state the size of the can. Under "Description" you say they are 28 OZ, however when checking out they are listed as 12 OZ.
How many Ounces of Tomatoes are in the can?
John R on Jan 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These are 28oz.
