Dependable & Easy to Use
I purchased this for 65 year old mother last Mother's Day. MY mom has always struggled to open wine and this was a perfect gift--easy to use and small enough to store.
I would estimate that my mother uses this at least twice a week without problems. There is a handy reset button next to the charging port that can be pressed twice to un-jam the corkscrew. This has only happened twice over the past year that she has owned it---I think pretty common for ANY electric corkscrew.
Overall, great price & dependable from the Metrokane brand. I would recommend to my family & friends

Works okay, but not for long
Bought this December 2014 at Sur la Table. At first it worked as advertised. After a few months, opening a couple of bottles a week, it stopped ejecting the cork and it was necessary to press the reset button to get it working again. After five months, at the end of May 2015, it stopped working at all. I guess this is just another one of those first world problems. Stick with the manual corkscrew, you'll be happier.

Awesome!
This thing is so easy to use! I got sick of purchasing unreliable cheap corkscrews. This is well worth the money!

How can I remove a cork that is stuck inside and refuses to be ejected normally?
BEST ANSWER: Remove the foil cutter and with a pen or toothpick press the small button found next to the charging port. Press once to stop the Corkscrew in case of accidental activation. Press twice to reverse the direction of the corkscrew to eject the cork.

After a year of use, it has become unreliable. It appears that the non-stick coating on the worm has started to wear off. Replacement worms are available, but there are apparently no instructions for installing a new one. Any advice? The company just wants to talk about the warranty.
BEST ANSWER: I gave it as a gift so I am not much help. Sorry!
