Description

Naturally stylish, this classic Burgundy clay vessel is perfect for cooking and serving lasagnas, vegetable gratins, roasts and more. Burgundy clay diffuses heat evenly for controlled, gentle cooking and, thanks to its high thermal resistance, can go directly from the freezer to a hot oven.

The durable, attractive glaze is resistant to both scratching and chipping—you can even cut directly on the surface—and will not hold baked-on or burnt food, so cleanup is always easy. Emile Henry’s food-safe glazes are free of both lead and cadmium and will not craze, discolor or fade over time. Available in several different colors.

Perfect Roasting Dish
First off, I love Emile Henry bakeware. There's just something about French clay ceramics. Second, the size of this roaster is just wonderful. Most roasters are too narrow, especially if cooking a chicken, because there's no room left for any vegetables. I've already used this dish for a 5 lb. chicken, then 2 lbs. of haddock, and plan to do a pork tenderloin next. Did I mention how easy it is to wash? A short soaking and everything just wipes off with a soapy sponge. Perfect!

My favorite pan!
This pan is so amazing! It cooks incredibly even and cleans up in a breeze. Even baked on lasagna.

Absolutely love this baking dish! It is beautiful. The extra depth is exactly what I needed, not only for lasagna but many other dishes I like to make. Cleanup up is wonderful to.

Emile Henry: Always for the Win!
I've bought many Emile Henry pieces over the years. They are impeccably-designed, always lusciously-colored, and withstand every (reasonable) situation you put them through.

There aren't too many vessels pretty enough to both cook and serve meals, but Emile Henry's top the list of those that do.

I have this lasagne pan, and gave one to a friend, who delights in using it.

Forget cheaper pieces--Emile Henry's glazes and solid construction make them longer-lasting "forever" pieces to which you'll always turn.

What is the difference between the Emile Henry Roasting Dish, 13.8" x 10" and the Emile Henry Lasagna Dish 13" x 10"?
Kitan B on Nov 13, 2014
Emile Henry Lasagna Pan, 13.8
Emile Henry Lasagna Pan, 13.8" x 10"
Emile Henry Lasagna Dish, 13
Emile Henry Lasagna Dish, 13" x 10"
BEST ANSWER: The roasting dish has straight sides, while the lasagna dish has sides that are sloped.
What is the difference of the functionality (pro and con) of straight sides roasting dish and slope sides lasagna dish?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Sloping sides don't allow steam to collect, so your lasagna will be tender on the inside, but your cheese will be bubbly & crisp.
Straight sided pans allow for faster cooking.
What are the inside dimensions? Height?, Length, Width?
Kenneth B on Apr 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: inside measures 2.5 inches deep; inside width is 9.5 inches; inside length is 11.5 inches
It is not safe for gas stove or electric range, what about glass cooktop?
A shopper on Jun 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You never put a ceramic vessel on ANY kind of cooktop--gas, electric, or otherwise. Ceramic is for oven and microwave use alone.
what us the outside width of this pan, including the handles?
Jeffrey D on Nov 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I measure the width at just a hair over 14". The edge of the pan comes in around 12"x10"
can this pan be used under the broiler for a few minutes?
A shopper on Jul 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes this Lasagna Dish can be placed under the broiler. I haven't used it under the broiler yet, but it does say to put a nice crust on your prepared dish by placing it under the broiler for a few minutes. It is great for Lasagna and I did use it for grilling potatoes and other vegetables all at the same time. I placed the green vegetables in towards the end though since they don't take as much time to cook. The color choices that are available for this Pan also look great on the kitchen table while serving a crowd or just your immediate family members. The handles are great too with plenty of room for oven mitts.
Is the cherry color still available?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, we no longer carry the cherry color.
