Olive, Caper & Pickle spoon
This little gadget could be a bit longer; however, it will get the job done. Keep your eye peeled for the tiny fork on the back side, which you push out from the front side. What I most like about it is that I firmly believe that sticking one's fingers in an olive jar to fish out an olive or "assist" it into a teaspoon leads to that awful whitish gunk that seems to occur after you've opened a big jar of olives and used from it several times. I've found that being careful about cross-contamination definitely helps with jarred olives.

great olive spoon
I highly recommend this product. It is super easy to pluck those olives out of the jar, and the attached fork is a bonus.

Just thought I would give this tool a try. I am sure there will be many more uses for it, like getting jalapeños out of a jar and not all the juice they are in.

This looks very practical for scooping things out of jars like relish, olives, small pickles, and it would be less messy and more efficient.

To get the last bit of every jam jar!
John K on Jan 30, 2017
This is an item that is hard to find. I normally have to use a larger slotted spoon to scoop the top of things that I am cooking or canning. I have never seen a spoon like this & when I did, I ordered it. I did not know about this website until I ordered a wedding gift from SurLaTable.I am now subscribing to their specials & promotions.
