Such a handy product!
Got this for my boyfriend, as he likes to make all different kinds of meat. We have mainly used it for the shredding function. Works better on larger cuts than smaller (like pheasant which we cook frequently). Still is a great tool to have, and you can't beat the price

Good
I got this for my husband. He likes them, BUT they are very small. For him they work best lifting big cuts of meat. Not so much for shredding. Over all they are a decent product but I wish they were a bit bigger

I have a set in the house that I use for lifting roasts out of the roasting pan. A simple concept that is very efficient. Bought a second set to keep with my grill things thinking it might make lifting larger or more delicate things off the grill more easily.

BEST ANSWER: They're pretty solid, so as long as your roast holds together reasonably well, yes, sure. The shredders themselves are very solid, and very easy to stab into something.
