Lightweight
I bought this pot because sometimes cast iron is just too heavy. It performs beautifully. It does a great job baking no-knead bread. The only issue I have is that retains the odor of what you last cooked in it and has to be washed before use and that doesn't even remove the previous tenant. If you don't use the pot for a while the odor can become rancid.

Lid wobbles
Ordered the 7 qt. and the lid does not sit tight. It rocks back and forth. Not very good quality control. I have the 4 qt and the tagine and the tops sit firm on the pots.

Perfect for a stew, simmering for hours
Always wanted to try these and am very pleased with the product. Dish can simmer for hours without loosing moisture. The lamb curry was very tender. However, browning results are not perfect because the casserole has slowly to get to temperature and does not get hot enough.

Someone bought me this pot for a wedding gift but I'm a little confused as to what I am supposed to do with milk before using it...the directions say in what looks like a translation to heat milk and then pour it into the pot...but when I look online it says to boil the milk..but I cannot find out how much milk...I really want to use the pot but I don't want to ruin it by doing the wrong thing! Please advise on what exactly I am supposed to do. Thank you!

BEST ANSWER: Adding the boiling milk and swirling it in the pot to cover all surfaces is done to cure the pot. Milk is used because it contains the casein protein which purportedly resolves any hairline cracks. I used one cup of boiled milk. I suggest following EH directions so as not to compromise the warranty.
