French Mac silk mat
Great ! Well worth it. Better and easier than parchment paper. There's almost no clean up the Macs came right off.

Must HAVE it!
I was about to celebrate my 30th birthday when I decided to make some macarons. I used wax paper thinking that it would work. I was wrong. Luckily there was a Sur La Table about 30 minutes away. I bough two mats because I knew that only one was not going to be enough, and look at the results...I am beyond happy and satisfied. My birthday party was a success and the macarons complemented it so well. :)

I like it
It works great! It's non-stick and helps keep the size uniform and I'm a beginner. I just wish it had multiple circle sizes

Just Ok
Having the guides on the Silpat was nice but after you get use to using a pastry bag it is not really needed. The Macarons didn't stick but I think I preferred the results from using the pre-cut (flat) parchment paper better.

I have one already and need a 2nd one in order to make enough at one time. If you make an entire batch of batter, you need 2 mats. It was take twice as long to cook all of the batter if I had only 1 mat. The stencil for making all macaron's uniform in size is key to having them turn out well in. You don't want irregular sizes on how the macarons turn out.
