A worthy purchase!
I am a big fan of cupcakes and muffins but I hate how messy they can be! I picked up these silicone bake cups to try and baked a batch of pumpkin chocolate chip muffins that night. I put a single spray of cooking spray at the bottom of each cup before filling them -- as an extra precaution -- even though the packaging emphasized that they are naturally non-stick. I love them! Unfortunately, the next night, I washed them by hand (even though the packaging said they are dishwasher safe) with a different (MORE FRAGRANT!) dish soap than I did the night prior and I suppose the soap lingered in the ridges of the cups and it "contaminated" the muffins, making them taste soapy. It may have just been a user error but I have to advise you be meticulous when washing these to ensure your muffins don't taste like Palmolive! I do recommend trying these anyway, but it is one thing to consider over the disposable, paper cupcake/muffin liners. I'll definitely still be using mine!

I am replacing silicone muffin cups I have used for years. They make perfect poached eggs that are not water logged. You can remove them from the water with your fingers and they just slide out of the cup onto toast. I've never actually used them for muffins. I spray the bottom just in case but have never had an egg stick.

BEST ANSWER: Yes. Silicone is not plastic so it's naturally BPA free.
