Fruitcake season is nigh, and not everyone loves a big one; so these look like fun if I modify my recipes. Will still make small loaves of "real" fruitcake. We will use this and the other pan for cakes for our Yule party.

I just used this six bundt pan and can’t get the cake out of the pan! Stuck like crazy, even with PAM coating. Used Betty Crocker vanilla cake. What’s going on? I thought this pan was easy!
Sally T on Nov 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I’m not sure which factor or combination is the problem. I use a modified geniose recipe with butter. Your cake mix batter might not have enough fat in it. At first I used a pastry brush with safflower oil rather thickly and dusting of flour. As I got more confident with the pan I switched to melted butter, also thickly and dusted with flour. I have never used Pam. I think there are two ideas to keep in mind: I under cook a bit. Then I put it on a rack rather than a counter. The pan is so heavy it cools slowly; after 5 or 10 minutes, the cake has pulled a bit from the pan. I loosen them a bit with a bamboo skewer or paring knife, knock them and tip them over and they pop out. The butter/flour coating becomes part of the cake, not a barrier. I made my usual dense dried fruit cake recipe which has a high butterfat pound cake batter to hold the fruit and nuts in suspension. To clean, I would get wet and clean with an old toothbrush, then detergent, sponge cloth, and hot water.
I recommend using one of the recipes listed by the company and see how that goes. Then you can use that as a model and adjust for other flavors. Good luck!
What size are the cakes?
A shopper on Sep 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They are approximately 3 1/2 inches
