Mine chipped after VERY careful use. Now unusable.
I have the clear glass bowl not the frosted. I only used my mixer twice and after the second use the glass bowl chipped near the pour spout. I have no idea how this happened as I was so careful while washing it by hand. I would not recommend this bowl to anyone. I will not use it anymore because of the jagged remaining glass. I am afraid to get glass shards in any other foods I may make with it. KitchenAid, please make a stronger glass bowl. I specifically bought this mixer with the glass bowl and now I regret my choice.

Great Idea, but Poor Quality
This bowl was bought to compliment the metal bowl that came with the mixer. Unfortunately it doesn't hold up well at all. Broke after just a couple uses. It was treated very carefully, and now after reading the reviews, it seems to be an issue with the bowl and the hammered glass as well.

Very disappointed in this product.

Breaks easily
I love this bowl and have taken perfect care of it and after a few uses it broke so easily when I was taking it out of my mixer. Pretty disappointed as it was a very expensive bowl.

Why did you choose this?
Sur La Table Store
My fiance asked for glass mixing bowl for Christmas, and I discovered this tasteful/exquisite option. The frosted finish is a unique detail that I hope my fiance appreciates.
