Nice, not great
While I've had this screen for a few months, I've only had the opportunity to use it a handful of times.

First couple of times were great; kept the grease from splattering, easy to work with while cooking, dishwasher safe.

Most recent time I was searing a steak after cooking in my Anova. I placed my Sur La Table skillet on my glass-top range set on high for about five minutes before placing the steak in it. A total of two minutes with the screen on it caused burns/melted nylon.

While I'm not sure what the temperature was in the skillet, I am disappointed that this screen wasn't able to handle it.

I'll be keeping the screen and also purchase a metal one to use when the temp is higher.

I currently have cheap, metal mesh spatter screens and this one looked more sturdy and durable. I also like its color scheme and fold-out function.

Is this splatter screen dishwasher safe?
A shopper on Oct 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is dishwasher safe.
How is it with heat on a gas stove?
May A on Jun 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The heat from the gas stove is okay unless the screen is directly over and close to the flames. Mine did melt a little bit from the rim of a skillet that was on high for about 15 minutes. Doesn't take away from the functionality of the screen though.
