Dissapointment
I have had this unit for about a year, and desperately want something different. The slecta size slice feature is horrible. On the thinnest setting, you get a wide variety of thicknesses. Trying to make potato chips, some will be very thin, some will be decently thick. This feature really is horrible, I would be happy if I could get a thin slice disc to replace the adjustable junk. Also, I grate a decent amount of cheese, but for some reason, no matter how lightly I press the cheese into the disc, it likes to overload, and shut down the machine. Soft and hard cheeses do the same thing, for a pound and a half of cheese, being as gentle as I can it will usually shut down at least 2 to 3 times. Then, the metal chopping blade stopped working. I never thought I would see that happen, but apparently the middle of the blade that connects to the shaft of the motor is a seperate piece, and broke, or stripped. I had to throw it away because it will no longer process anything, it makes a weird screeching sound, and doesn't spin. I know it's not the motor doing that because every other attachment works until the machine shuts down with no screeching. Also when gripping the center of the large chopper with a pair of pliars, the blade was able to be turned around it without too much difficulty.
I still use this machine for now, however I look forward to the day I can replace it. $200 and I think I would have been better off with a $75 walmart special.

Works effectively, quietly and consistently
I've been using a tiny 3 cup food processor and received this processor as a birthday gift. It works quietly and I love the shredding blades. Only thing I would change is that the buttons on the machine are very hard to push. Combine that with how light weight the machine is, when I push the buttons I end up sliding the machine instead of turning it on.

I recently purchased this food processor for making nut butters. I had a 3 cup Cuisinart that I have used for years but it really was too small for most of my kitchen jobs. When I looked at the 11 and 13 cup versions I thought they were too big. The 9 cup fits the bill perfectly. This processor does a great job. Enough power to grind the nuts for single jar nut butters with ease. It is not too loud which was some of the complaints I read in reviews of the high powered blenders.

Tips, Hints, Suggestions
We just recently purchased the 9-cup ExactSlice Food Processor. Last night was our first hands on experience. We were trying to make coleslaw. By the time we were finished we had quite a bit of cabbage on the counter and on the floor. Not sure what we were doing wrong? We seemed to be having a problem with the "tamper", sometimes the processor would run, sometimes it would not! Very frustrating! Is the a users group where we could trade information? We do see a future with our new purchase, we just need to get more adept!

Used once and now it doesn't work
I bought this a few months ago and was only able to use it once before it stopped working. I thought I didn't have all of the safety features in place, but I tried everything I found online to try to get it to work and it didn't help. I have no idea if the power is even on for it, because there is no light or indicator. It worked great the first day. If it kept work it would have been great.

My old processor is on borrowed time. I have a KitchenAid mixer and trust KA products. So when this one has been offered at a good price with a rebate it was a no brainer.

I own this same food processor and love it! My mother-in-law has been staying with us and has been using it herself. She cannot say enough great things about it. Her favorite thing to make is homemade mayonnaise, and will never go back to store bough mayonnaise again. This will be a nice Christmas gift for when she moves into her new place!!

How does it start-- is there a trick?
A shopper on Aug 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The bowl and lid both have to locked in. There are safety mechanisms that won't allow it to start if both are not locked in. Its easy to see how the bowl locks in (handle is on the right). The lid locks in with the black part secured over the bowl handle. Then push low or high.
Would this make a pie dough?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have used it to make scone dough, but still make my pie dough the old fashioned way...good thought, though, I will try it sometime!
Is this BPA free ?
A shopper on Sep 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is BPA-free.
