Love it! Cleans up so easily. Fish turns out perfectly without having to add a topping or sauce. Liked mine so much I bought one for a friend for her birthday.

elegant
I keep it out all the time. A really handsome piece with a lid that fits perfectly.

Makes great baked fish. Too shallow for simmering fish.

Great for quickly cooking long asparagus in a minimum amount of water.

I tried cooking eggs on a bed of asparagus, but a thicker pan is needed for that.

cooks well but a little small
the pan is not large enough for most salmon-type fillets, but it does cook well; moist fish quilckly

Lovely Pan
This is a lovely pan which bakes fish while preserving great moisture and tenderness. I've also used it for deboned chicken breasts. It does hold a fairly good sized fish filet which is enough to feed four people, but it is not a large pan, so if you have a large family or they are big eaters, it probably won't be large enough for you.

I grew up landlocked. Fish sticks and tuna. I MUST learn to cook and enjoy fish. If Staub can't make that magic happen it is hopeless.

Do the stated dimensions, specifically length, include the handles? I’m interested to know the actual length of the pan. Thanks!
A shopper on Jul 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The length of the pan including the handles is 14 1/8 inches. The length of the pan without the handles is 12 1/8" and the length of the inside of the pan is 11.5". This pan is very nice for fish and does a nice job on deboned chicken breasts as well. Be aware that its bottom is very shallow - only about 3/4" - so you can't add much in the way of sauce. The domed lid is about 1.25" at center of dome. The pan cleans nicely.
