What a fun idea!!
Have used the Ice Cream Sandwich maker and really like the out come! Made one batch of batter and got 3 sets of sandwiches made out of it. The batter keeps in the fridge for a week. I made one set of sandwiches, then got them wrapped ad put in the freezer, then a couple of days later made another set. Ended up with 3 sets. A set is the 2 molds each one make 4 sandwiches. so ended up with 24 sandwiches from one batch of batter. Once I figured out how to do it it went very fast. Love them. Can't wait for the grandkids to come so we can make and eat them together!!

Overall very pleased
As with most gadgets, its takes a little practice to get these to look nice. I sprayed the mold with cooking spray as suggested and the cookies came right out but I could not turn the mold over to place on top because of that. I had to place them by hand. Also you need to be somewhat quick so that the ice cream doesn't start melting by the time you get all 4 bars filled because when it melts it seeped under neath the cookie. Its not a problem, just doesn't look as nice.
The recipe provided for the chocolate cookie is delicious and is exactly like a purchased bar. ( I used a dutch process cocoa for a dark chocolate flavor). I got rave reviews from my family and friends on the taste so I am satisfied.

Love the set. Works as described. Fun to make. Only thing that would make it perfect would-be more options on chocolate batter...
crust recipe, needs more flavor. Would recommend and buy again!

A labor of love, but yummy too!
Well made in general. A bit of a labor of love, however. You need plenty of time in the day to accomplish all steps, and there is a learning curve. The spatula should have been made a little wider to help even out the batter in the trays. Getting the ice cream consistency necessary to fill the trays is tricky too. My ice cream comes out of my freezer rock hard, generally. The kit itself though is as pictured and though a little pricey, I think it is mostly worth it.

I know most silicone products cannot be used in toaster ovens due to close proximity to the heating element. Is this one able to?

What do you use for the batter? Do you make something that has the consistency of log cake batter?
BEST ANSWER: Hi, I used the ice cream sandwich batter. It was good. But I think you could use a cookie batter. Choc.chip cookie batter for instance.

I too, would love to find another recipe for the cookie. I am looking, and if anyone else finds one, post it here! Thanks!
BEST ANSWER: Check the King Arthur Flour website - they have lots of recipes and advisers who can probably tell you how to modify a recipe to suit your needs
