Sur la Table Cherry Pitter
Use large firm ripe cherries and you will have excellent results. I have two severely arthritic hands and was able to plunge the pits right into the bottom receptacle.

Great Tool
My cherry pitter broke this morning with out 60 more cherries to go. I saw this one online and headed over to my local store. When I got home I pitted the remaining cherries in about 3 minutes. It is fantastic. It appears to be be rugged so I think (and hope) it will last a long time. What a timesaver.

Works great. Keeps fingers clean from cherry juice and collects all the pits in the bottom. Love it!

Cherry Pitter
Actually works better than I had expected and is much easier than the knife/fingernail method I have been using. :-) A handy little device to have if you like to bake with cherries.

Cherries!
I always have cherries in my freezer but was reluctant to purchase fresh cherries because I didn't want to deal with the pits. Problem solved. Of course I'll only use this during cherry season but this simple, elegant solution is so worth it! If you can find this, buy it.
Life is sometimes just a bowl of cherries, thankfully!

GREAT little gadget
I'm lazy. So I got tired of putting a cherry into my mouth and then having to spit out each one, not to mention it seemed sort of yucky. So I bought this and it is great! A few minutes work and I can just pop cherries into my mouth. Since the pitter had made it so easy to pit a bunch of them, I even made a cherry cobbler!

Does it waste a lot of the cherry?
A shopper on May 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No waste. Upon purchase, I immediately pitted 5 pounds of cherries! No waste, just pits.
Are the cherries flattened/smashed after the pitting? I'm looking for them to still be round and whole.
A shopper on Jun 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I used large ripe and still firm cherries and had no smashed ones. With other potters I have had an occasional pit escape and found when eating. All seven of the pits showed up in the bottom receptacle. I like this potter. It does require a bit of effort to push down the plunger, but I have two severely arthritic hands and was able to do it.
Will this pit olives?
Sally on Aug 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this cherry pitter will pit olives. I have a couple types of pitters and this is now my favorite. It is just as fast as my previous good pitter, however there is much less mess with the enclosed space. In fact, no mess. I cleaned, pitted, and bagged for freezing 50 pounds of cherries in 2 hours and they look beautiful after pitting. My cherries were larger than most olives. It will also do well with smaller cherries.
