Small and not effective
It’s too small. The bowls could’ve been begged - 10-12 ounces. Not very easy to unscre and screw on the blender base. Way too expensive for the functionality provided

Very handy
I was surprised to see how small these bowls were until I used them for a small amount of spread. The power was there. Efficient and functional, I especially like how unused portions instantly could be lidded and stored right in the blender cup.

Like it
Nice size for dressings, smoothies for my grandson, nit butters, etc. make sure you’ve got the blade, ring and cup aligned perfectly or it will leak quickly.

Great accessory to the Vitamix
These bowls are so convenient for chopping small quantities of vegetables, for making baby food, small quantities of mayonnaise, various sauces, etc. I have found so many uses for these bowls.

Not as expected
Planned to chop frozen blueberries and strawberries to put in water for flavor. Did not chop strawberries (which were already sliced) at all. Blueberries - I kept doing until they were a mush. Disappointed.

I needed it to go with ascent model

Because these products really help when preparing any meal.

I needed it to go with ascent model
gunjan K on Oct 5, 2018
Planned uses: One will be exclusively for grinding coffee. The other will be for small amounts of nut butters or sauces or whatever else I come up with. I needed the base for the personal blending cup, too, and this set plus one personal blending cup is significantly cheaper than the other way around.

I often want to prepare very small quantities as ingredients for recipes (nut butters for soups, don't keep butters on hand, do keep nuts). Hope this works!

i have an ascend blender and need small batch blending
LaVonne B on Aug 31, 2017
Just got the big A3500, and the container (with attached blades) is going to be too big for some of my smaller jobs. Wanted easier cleanup and more portable container.
Diane L on Aug 19, 2017

Brenda J on Aug 17, 2017
I chose this to make baby food, and to chop up small quantities of onion, nuts, etc.

This completes my A3500 Ascent Blender Set. I use a Vitamix frequently. It greatly enhances my options for vegan meals.

For making small amounts of dressings, etc.. The big container tends to be inconvenient for that and you usually end up with more than you need. These small bowls seem perfect.
Karsten S on Jul 15, 2017
Perfect to compliment my Vitamix Ascent 3500 blender. These blending bowls will be more convenient to use for smaller quantities than my food processor.

Is the starter blade base the same for the 8 0z and 20 oz cup to fit the ascent blender or do you need an 8 oz starter kit and a 20 oz starter kit?
A shopper on Jun 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is the same base for both. I ordered both kits and they are exactly the same.
Do these work with older vitamix models or only Ascent?
Ezkmart on Apr 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They are only compatible with Vitamix Ascent Series blenders.
Do the original 20 oz cups work? The one that came with personal blender.
A shopper on May 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, these will only work for the newer, Ascent series blenders.
Is the 8 ounce cup compatible on the vitamix 750 professional series?
A shopper on Jul 30, 2017

BEST ANSWER: No, this item only works with the Ascent line of blenders.
Are these compatible with vita mix 5300?
Anupama P on Sep 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, only the Ascent Series. I tried it on my Legacy series but it was a no go, but worked fine on my Ascent 3300.. It has to be detected by the technology in the Ascent blender.
Are these compatible with vita mix 3500?
Anupama P on Sep 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: These bowls are compatible with the Ascent Series only. I have had no luck in getting them to do small amounts of food, just throws food to outer wall and does not draw it back to the blade.
Are the small cup attachments comparable to my vitamin model 102D?
Margaret M on Apr 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It is only compatible with Ascent models.
