Like Having Your Favorite Barista in Your Kitchen
This espresso machine is beautiful, well-made, and easy to use. But most importantly, makes wonderful espresso beverages. We bought this to replace another machine that had served us well for ten years (by a different maker), and to be honest, we never realized what we were missing. This machine does a fabulous job with the milk, giving your lattes, etc., a velvety mouth feel that we never got from our previous machine. It's nice that you can customize things also. We went back and forth between this machine and the Breville Barista Express. In the end, the dual boilers won us over, but the automatic tamping and larger water capacity are also very nice.

Hooked on cappuccino
Don’t know how I functioned before my Breville Oracle Touch. Now I start the day with a perfect cappacinno, or latte or americano. Perfect for a non barista. Just make sure I have good fresh coffee beans and the breville does the rest. Sure there’s a basic learning curve on the functions and cleaning of the machine, but the great coffees are done with the touch of a fingertip. Love it!

Yes
This thing is really expensive for a coffee machine, but really cheap for a high end espresso maker. I've agonized over the right price point and level of machine for my daily use. This one hit the sweet spot. The coffee is amazing, and easy to dial in. My kid can use it (decaf!). Easy to use, easy to clean. Touch screen means my inlaws can figure it out. The tamper works, but is an expensive addition vs the lower end version of this. But it does work, and makes good espresso more attainable for the inexperienced. Worth the price.

How is it different from the regular Oracle machine?
A shopper on Feb 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Even Breville Support did not know enough to tell me the differences over the phone, so I researched for myself.
1. MILK FROTHING: The original Oracle allows you to choose manual or automatic frothing, with the Touch it is automatic only. You can see this if you look at the two machines side by side. The Touch does not have the froth pull-down handle on the top right side of the machine.
2. TAMP PRESSURE: The original Oracle allows you to adjust the tamp pressure. They removed the ability to adjust the tamp pressure on the Touch.
3. FAVORITES: The original Oracle saves only a single setting. The Touch allows multiple saved presets (favorite settings) which you can name and save with personal icons.
4. PRESETS: The original Oracle has the dedicated button for a long black (Americano) only. The Oracle Touch has a number of presets such as Latte, Flat White, etc.
5: FINISH: The original Oracle has a brushed finish. The Touch has a smooth finish.
Which part or parts are plastic?
A shopper on Feb 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There is actually very little plastic component to this machine. The water reservoir (which you never have to directly deal with once you've set up), the coffee bean holder, and part of the bottom tray are all made of a very strong and durable plastic. It is a high quality machine, which is to be expected with the price. We love ours.
can you adjust boiling water temp for tea or long black coffees?
A shopper on Mar 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, The machine allows you to adjust water temperature, milk temperature, amount of foam, and the grind of the beans. You can even save your own personal settings.
