Specialty grates to optimize your grilling experience.

Description

Handmade to order in Kalamazoo, Michigan, these specialized grill grates are designed to further customize your cooking experience with the Kalamazoo grill range. Each surface is laser cut from a quarter-inch-thick slabs of solid stainless steel, giving it enough weight to naturally retain heat, create perfect grill marks and prevent food from sticking.

Available in three different designs, these surfaces can be mixed and matched depending on what you prefer to grill.

Because of its flat surface profile, the meat surface is ideal for burgers or other ground meats that are flipped with a flat turner. This surface is great for any kind of meat, providing plenty of support while maximizing exposure to the open flame below.

Designed for grilling small items—think asparagus, green beans and mushrooms—without the need for a grill basket, the vegetable surface pattern is also the best all-around surface design for a variety of other cooking tasks. This pattern features specially sized slots that expose food to the flame without allowing anything to fall through.

The fish surface pattern has a greater solid surface area to support delicate fish fillets while still allowing exposure to the flame below. This surface is also great for Cajun-style blackening or allover pan-searing with steaks. You can even use it for grilling up fajita or stir-fry veggies, because it produces a nice sear while preserving flavorful juices.
