Actually, it does work
I've had one for a while. There are a couple things to do that make it work much better: Cool the just cooked eggs in cold water for at least a few minutes, changing the water if necessary; drain then shake the pot a bit so the eggs crack slightly (the cracks don't need to be visible - you'll hear the cracks form); recover with cold water for a minute or two. To use, add a few tablespoons of cold water to the Negg, drop the egg in then shake gently. Shaking too hard can cause the egg to split and fall apart.

Love this Peeler
I HATE peeling hard-boiled eggs (I mean, who doesn't?!) so finding something to help was high on my list. This tool works great. (I recommend watching the video) The peeler doesn't peel the whole shell off completely, but it does make it so it slips off easily after a few shakes. Highly Recommend!

5 stars for egg peeler
Works great! I make large batches of deviled eggs and it cuts down on peeling time . I liked it so much I bought 3 extras for gifts!

You have to cook the eggs right!
It works perfectly if you cook the eggs right. There are many opinions on how to cook eggs that will peel easily but I found that putting cold eggs into already boiling water for 10-12 minutes (depending on how done you like hardboiled), then immediately putting into ice water for 5 minutes works. Admittedly, it's easy to peel by hand if you do this but I still found this thing is better. Don't be afraid to shake it hard-ish - but there is such a thing as too vigorous (broke the egg a bit!). I use it all the time.

I had great results with this product. I used fresh eggs from our chickens, let them cool some and peeled away .

Is this only useful for hard boiled eggs? I want a tool that peels soft-boiled eggs so I don't burn my fingers and loose half the egg when removing from the shell...

BEST ANSWER: I haven’t tried that yet, but I’m betting it will! This device has made my Easter holiday preparations so much easier and enjoyable!
