I wanted an oblong tart pan (14x5) that I could present a beautiful/intact pecan tart so I was thinking I would need a tart pan with a removable bottom. Do you have any tips for getting my tart out of this pan in one piece?

BEST ANSWER: It might depend on the crust of the tart... If it is puff dough that was prebaked it will not be a problem but quiche or shortbread crust might be tricky to remove... Sorry have no suggestions in this regard.
Can this piece be put under the broiler?

BEST ANSWER: As long as the temperature does not exceed 500°F, it will be fine.
