The choice of home bakers since 1800.

Description

First manufactured by Mason Cash in 1901, the Cane mixing bowl’s distinctive shape and embossed pattern has remained popular with cooks for generations. Available in a variety of sizes, these bowls are perfect for mixing everything from extra-large batches of bread dough to pancake batter for two. Made from high-quality, chip-resistant earthenware, pretty and practical Cane mixing bowls are dishwasher, microwave, freezer and oven safe.

The choice of home cooks and bakers for centuries, Mason Cash started as a pottery in the village of Church Gresley, England, in 1800. Run by a series of master potters, the company took its name from the most colorful of the group, “Bossy” Mason. For the next 100 years, the potters turned out exceptional glazed earthenware kitchen items, which were distributed throughout the UK. In 1901, Tom Cash acquired the pottery, renaming it Mason Cash & Co. That same year, they produced the very first iconic Mason Cash mixing bowl, which has stood the test of time and remains a customer favorite today.

Best Mixing Bowls
I have these in several sizes. They are simply the best mixing bowls. When I was growing up in England, my mother (an amazing baker) always used them.

Only Mother Bowl to Own!
Best bowl EVER! I use when I bake big batches of cookies, granola, sweet treats, breads, etc. I have been searching for the Mason Cash bowls and I finally have found them. Excellent quality. Chips easy on edges so be very careful when hand washing.

Great Bowl
I broke my previous bowl and since I use it for everything I had to have a new one and I love it. Perfect size for everything, especially pie crust, marinating fruit, salad vegetables, mixing small batches of cookie dough, EVERYTHING.

I have this exact bowl that I bought years ago, it has cracked on the edges and I have been looking everywhere for this same exact bowl. I use it for absolutely everything, we call it the "mother bowl" in my house.

Way back in the 60s in England everything at my school was served in these bowls - from brussel sprouts to mashed potatoes to pink "splodge" (blancmange) with brown sugar. Fond memories.

My husband bakes bread and wanted this very large bowl for making multiple loaves at a time. This is a replacement for the same bowl he had and loved for almost 50 years, that finally cracked after multiple moves.

Which size is used on British Bake?
A shopper on Dec 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They use the 10.5 QT...but was disappointed with Sur La Tab....this was a gift for my daughter...when it arrived it was broken...so needed to have it exchanged.....but come to find out....Sur la Tab orders it from a vendor it is not even from them...second bowl ...same thing broken..literally in half....both were only packed in paper not even foam or anything to protect glass....then had to return second one....and sur la tab had me deal with vendor....vendor was great....Sur la tab not so great....took months and a lot of going back and forth for my refund....i ended up getting it from amazon...a lot cheaper too....i have done many classes and bought many products from Sur la tab....but will not again...customer service was terrible i was very disappointed..in the end my daughter has the bowl and loves it....
