Handy size for side dishes and casseroles. Not large enough for main course like pot roast and potatoes. Excellent quality and easy to clean. I love it! Would recommend to friends and family!

Why did I not get the 2.75 sooner?!

Perfect size!
I purchased this particular Dutch Oven in order to make smaller portions of recipes. I have a larger Dutch Oven, but needed/wanted one where I could make a recipe and not have a boatload of leftovers. This is perfect whether on the stove top or in the oven!

Wife loves, loves, loves it!
I've used Le Creuset before and really liked it. Got this for my wife for Christmas and she's used it about every other day since Christmas and absolutely loves it. She says the yellow is the most sunshiny bright yellow ever. Perfect for making dinner for two or three.

great color and quality!
I have only been able to use this a few times but I love it! I got it in "flame" and the color is gorgeous. It is marked that it is made in France (unlike the ones at outlet stores that say made in China). My mother has owned hers for more than 20 years and I look forward to having mine for years and years to come.

2.75qt. Le Creuset Round Durch Oven in Cerise
It's perfect! I have larger and smaller quart sizes but this size
is great when cooking for 2. ie: soups, stews, chili, Italian sauce.
There's nothing like Le Creuset!

small Dutch oven
It is perfect for my purpose. I make my own yogurt and can heat the milk on the stove, let cool for adding the active cx, keep it in a mildly warm oven overnight, and then refrigerate all week and serve out of the same lovely, golden colored Le Creuset!

I liked the new color Sea Salt and it just so happens that my old "Rachael Ray" similar style dutch oven is starting to have the paint finish chip off on the edges and exterior which I can't have falling into the food. So this is on sale so I decided to replace it with a new and better one! I hope to add to the collection down the road with another piece or two.

BEST ANSWER: I would say no - you would need something larger for a whole chicken. This size is great for smaller size batches of stew or soup. The description gives dimensions of the cookware which will help you figure the size that will work best for you. I love this cookware and you will, too!!!

BEST ANSWER: Hi, this Dutch Oven is not very large. It’s size is convienant however would not fit a roast and potatoes for family. I have several sizes and each one has multiple uses. This is great for stovetop sides and baked casseroles . Size up for main course meals like roasts or baked chicken.

A previous question asked what the number under the lid was, an answer was given, but neither bothered to tell the rest of us what those numbers mean! I have 2 La Crueset pots, but have never heard of these numbers...

BEST ANSWER: It refers to the diameter of the lid. The reason I asked the number, was to determine if this was the regular 2.75 qt pot (#20) or the shallow 2.75 qt pot (#22)

How is this pot cleaned? Will it scratch?

BEST ANSWER: Regular dish soap and water will do... if anything does get cracked on i'll mix a paste of baking soda and vinegar and let it sit and use a scub brush, but that is rare for these wonderful investments. You do want to be careful if you stack them in a dish rack to dry... the edges on the pot and under the lip of the lid are not covered with enamel, it is the bare cast iron and can and will scratch the enamel or other items if you're not careful

BEST ANSWER: No idea because after ordering it they sent a backorder notice that it would be in stock Dec 14. Then they said it would be shipped Dec 25. Then they said it was unavailable. On the color Morel what is the lid knob made of? It’s in gold tone.

BEST ANSWER: If the Morel is the chocolate brown one, the knob is a coppertone steel (?). Beautiful. I have had it in the oven at 250 to keep warm for an hour or so and no discoloration or issues.

BEST ANSWER: The inside diameter is 8” round. The height of the pot from counter to top of pot is 3 3/4” not including the lid.
