Great for dough & candy work
I love this mat for working with almost any kind of dough and also for working caramel and hot candy work. It makes cleanup a snap.

I have had one for years and have ruined it by cutting out cookies, etc on it. It works wonderfully for rolling, but is harmed by cutting on it.

It is a light weight mat that I can put away when I don't need it. I have limited counter space so a mable slab would not work as well for me.

BEST ANSWER: If you have a sheet or tray or pan that heats up on your induction cooktop, there's no reason you couldn't put the mat in the pan. If the cooktop heats up on it's own (like a griddle) you could use it there. But it won't respond to the induction and heat up on its own...

Can you cut out biscuits or cookies on this mat?

BEST ANSWER: I would not cut out biscuits or cookies on the mat... I ruined one mat by doing that... It is hard to remember to remove the dough to another surface before you cut, but probably safer!
