Such a time saver!
I absolutely LOVE this pressure cooker! It is the perfect size for most of my needs, it is very easy to use...no fuss at all! The instruction/recipe booklet is easy to follow. The cook pan is removeable and is non-stick, which makes for simple, fast cleanup. I even cooked beans in it and there was no bean explosion in my kitchen, as I had been warned there might be from veterans of past bean mishaps with their old stovetop models!! The price wasn't bad either. I'm very happy with my cooker

Great product
I got this as a gift and since then...cooking has never been so easy. Softens tough meats really well and may double as a crock pot.

Super Easy
Pressure cookers can be tricky but this one is so easy to use. And...clean up is a snap. Love the simmer feature. It is the perfect way to end the dish and keep it warm. And...the price is exceptional for this all around cooker.

Saves heat in my kitchen
I love my electric pressure cooker for several reasons: doesn't heat up my kitchen, much faster, & can cook such a variety of foods.
My first try was pot roast with the carrots, mushroom, tomato, & seasonings. My husband said it was the best ever.
Suggestion: I need cookbooks for ""electric"" pressure cooking--are there such books.
Highly recommend this product

Love this Product
This is the first pressure cooker I have ever owned - my sister recommended the Cuisinart because of the ease of using it. I love how it can saut and brown and pressure cook - no need to cook on the stove at all. I have been experiencing different foods, but so far the beef stew in the product recipe book is my favorite! I am going to continue enjoying this method of cooking. I don't think I will need my slow cooker anymore

Great timesaver!
I have been sick the last few months and tired of eating take out. I ordered this based on the reviews and all I can say is thank you reviewers, this product is awesome. I literally threw in pasta ingredients including meat and in less than 1/2 hr had a great pasta dish which wasn't take out. My brother had leftovers and couldn't believe it came from a pressure cooker. The cooker itself is well made and very easy to use, anyone could operate it. I like that it is multi-functionaI and can't wait to try more recipes. It comes with instructions and recipe booklet. I am already thinking of buying more for my family.

Cusinart Pressure Cooker v. All-Clad Pressure Cooker
How does the Cuisinart Pressure Cooker Compare to the All-Clad Pressure Cooker you also sell? Do they reach the same PSI? How do the cooking inserts compare? What sets them apart in quality and/or features that results in the price difference?
How does the Cuisinart Pressure Cooker Compare to the All-Clad Pressure Cooker you also sell? Do they reach the same PSI? How do the cooking inserts compare? What sets them apart in quality and/or features that results in the price difference?
BEST ANSWER: Both of these pressure cookers are 1000 watts, have the same PSI and even approximately the same dimensions. What accounts for the price difference is that the All-Clad pressure cooker has a safety function that will not allow the pressure to rise past a safe point if not properly operated and you cannot remove the lid until the pressure has reached a safe range. It's browning feature is much more efficient and it will automatically switch over to a keep warm setting once the cooking is completed.

Can this unit be used to do small canning?
BEST ANSWER: From stews to pot roast to barbeque pork, the Cuisinart stainless steel electric pressure cooker will soon be the most valuable player in your kitchen. It’s especially good in warm weather when you don’t want to heat up the kitchen using your stovetop or oven. Its fingerprint-proof, brushed stainless steel housing doesn’t interact with food, for better kitchen hygiene.
Push-button control for multiple cooking options and programmed settings: low and high pressure, browning, simmer, sauté and automatic ‘keep warm’ feature. Also has a 99-minute timer and LED countdown, and cool-touch side handles for safety. Nonstick cooking pot and trivet included, and are dishwasher safe. 1000 watts of power. 6-qt. capacity.
This pressure cooker will not function as a small canner. We do have a Fagor Duo 9 piece pressure canning set available that I have attached as a recommended product. We also carry many canning tools seperately.

Can you deep fry under pressure?
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately Cuisinart states never to use oil as your liquid if using the pressure cooking option. Deep frying in the pressure cooking mode is strongly discouraged.

Cuisinart does not reccomend that this be used as a slow cooker or crockpot however I have listed its functions, capabilities and settings below.
* Low Pressure
* High Pressure
• Browning – This preset temperature allows cooking over high heat, without the lid, before pressure cooking. Browning foods in a small amount of fat in this way seals the outer surfaces of meats and vegetables, producing a visually appealing, flavorful exterior with a moist, tender interior.
• Sauté – The preset temperature, done prior to pressure cooking with lid removed, allows you to quickly soften vegetables in a small amount of fat or liquid without browning, and to cook items such as rice (Arborio, brown, Carnaroli, white, etc.) for pilafs and risottos.
• Simmer – This preset temperature allows you to cook liquids at a lower temperature. It is primarily used to finish cooking some items, i.e. to add ingredients to a risotto, sauce, or stew or to continue cooking process to achieve preferred texture.
• Keep Warm – Holds and keeps cooked food warm for up to 12 hours. Automatic Keep Warm Feature: When LED display reaches, the pressure cooker automatically shifts to Keep Warm temperature. The Keep Warm light will turn on and unit will beep to indicate cooking is complete.

can this pressure cooker broast chicken?
BEST ANSWER: thank you for asking....the pressure cooker will not ROAST a chicken - however, if you sear/brown the chicken on stove top before - you can put the whole chicken in w/some stock and it's gooooooooood. it's about 6 minutes per pound seems to be the right amount of time for your chicken. I hope this answered your question and it may of helped in a small way. Be sure when you sear/brown your chicken.......liberally coat the skin with spices and seasonings. If you want crisp chicken....you'll need to butter or oil the chicken once it comes out of the cooker and place in a 400 degree oven. roast your root vegetables along w/it. ENJOY ENJOY!!!

How does this compare to the Instant Pot?
BEST ANSWER: I have used both the Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker and the Instant Pot. Cuisinart is a non-stick pot, Instant Pot is Stainless Steel.
Both:
Saute, Brown, Pressure Cook. Easy to use, easy to clean.
Instant Pot can Also:
Slow Cook, make yoghurt, and has a delay start (great for setting oatmeal to cook in the morning before you get up.)
I originally bought the Cuisinart, and then received the Instant Pot as a gift.

In another question, staff mentioned that a different brand has some safety functions this model does not have relating to pressure cooking. Under what circumstances would the pressure likely rise past a safe point, and what would this model do if that happened? Also, at what point does this model allow you to open the lid?
BEST ANSWER: If you have the lid on correctly, locked, and the pressure valve at the correct position for "pressure" vs. vent, I don't see how the pressure would likely rise past a safe point. The cooker does not start to pressurize unless the seals are intact and everything is in the correct position. There's a red pressure "button" that floats up once pressure starts to build up and once it has floated up all the way, then it's the last seal and pressure cooking starts. I've never tried opening the lid until I've released pressure and the red button has floated back down. So I don't know if the unit would allow you to open it if the red button is floated up. Why would you try opening the lid if you knew the pressure had not been released?? This is my first pressure cooker and I'm satisfied that it's easy to use, with clear instructions on how not to hurt yourself.
