"Practical, gorgeous"
Works great for straining, whether soups, or fresh mozzarella. Has a comfortable stay-cool handle, and a rest on the far end to keep it stable and allow for hands-free use. Beautiful, as with anything Rosle

Strainer
I love this strainer. The conical shape is really good. It is not small. It is a very good size - medium. You might want the size: 7-1/2" Diameter x 7" Height.
Hope it helps.

How Rösle Conical Strainer work with separating seed and skin from tomatoes for sauce?
A shopper on Oct 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I haven't used it for that, but the holes are very small. I just looked at it again and I bet it would work. Too small for tomato seeds to pass through. You probably have to have very puréed tomatoes for them to pass through these holes.
Is this too small (volume) for straining chicken stock? Trying to decide between this and the chinois.
A shopper on Aug 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Excellent chinois and of course only load with as much chicken parts & veggies as is practical at one time. Important is that it is sturdy and the stock will flow easily which is it's purpose anyway. Best to buy a well shaped wood conical for this job, not a little one.
