Fantastic!
The perfect size for one and so easy to clean. I sprayed the pan lightly with Pam, then broiled turkey burgers. After, popped the pan and tray into some soapy hot water in the sink. A few minutes later, I washed the set with a common sponge (no scrubby side). It cleaned up with just a few sponge swipes. I wish this product was available and/or I knew about it 40 years ago

Dandy!
This is the best broiler pan I have ever had - and I've had many in the past 50 years. It's very easy to clean.

My husband and I have searched many stores both in state and out of state- this pan is excellent. Light weight and easy to clean. Stainless steel and can definitely take high temps in the broiler shelf.

I purchased one of these pans many years ago and recently purchased one for my daughter. They are the perfect size for roasting or broiling small meals for 1-4 people.

Not the best stainless
Our Blue Star Range has a fantastic HI temp infared broiler. At that heat stainless is almost necessary. It was tough to find a stainless broiler pan. When I found this one I was excited by somewhat apprehensive because good gauge stainless is not inexpensive. well i used it once and spent 30 minutes trying to clean it. The stainless quality is lo grade. I actually don't feel like using it again unless i decide to dispose of it after . Way too much time and effort in cleaning this thing. I'm still looking for a good one . Don't mind paying because I know stainless can save time, energy and grief.

Great pan
Had one before and loved it. Wore out after a decade so we bought another. Since there is only two of us, this pan is great for broiling small amounts. Cleans up easily also

Love it, great broiler tray!
After reading the reviews I took a chance and ordered two of the smaller size Sur la Table broiler pans online -- one for a neighbor whose new stove came without a broiler pan and one for me. I was not disappointed! It's perfect for one or two steaks. The size makes it light and easy to handle yet it is very sturdy. It fits in the sink for washing and cleans up much better and easier than a traditional ceramic covered broiler pan. Great purchase. I recommend it over any other broiler pan that I have owned.

Is it Progressive brand?
I have had great performance from my 9x12 Progressive stainless steel broiling pan, so I am interested in buying their larger size. Your price for the larger one is so much better than another site's price for it that I just wanted to check on the brand

What is the depth of the bottom pan?
Can I put this broiler pan on my outside electric grill?? I note that you can't put it on the stovetop. Thanks
BEST ANSWER: I suppose if you really need to burn the broiler pan, you could put it on your electric grill. However, I would not use the pan on any type of grill as it is designed to use in a broiler to catch the juices that cook out of the meat. Maybe you can find a lgrill pan. Sur La Table offers several styles.

Does this pan warp under the broiler?
BEST ANSWER: No; we have been using this broiler pan for more than a year, and so far it has not warped. It is sort of hard to clean so I usually put foil over the top part before I use it.

What is the depth of the bottom pan on the 12X16 size?
BEST ANSWER: It is 2" deep. I love this pan and use it even more as a pan without the top than as a broiler, although, of course, it does both.

I need a broiler pan that takes high heat from a blue star gas oven- what do I look for?
BEST ANSWER: We have a gas oven and we do use this broiler pan. It is not easy to clean so we usually cover it with aluminum foil and spray the foil with Pam before using it under the broiler. It tends to get a build-up of black soot that is hard to scrub off, but I have not found any other broiler pan that is any better.

What are holes on top for?
BEST ANSWER: Usually to catch drippings from food being cooked. Adding water in the bottom of the pan also allows for a touch of steam when needed. This is a GREAT pan, easy to use and clean!
