"GREAT bowls for noodles, etc."
I received a set of 9"" bowls as a Christmas gift, and have been using them several times a week for the past 7 months.
Though the bowls are advertised as serving bowls, the shape and size is extremely versatile. It's low enough where I can use it as a pasta bowl for spaghetti and meatballs or for a substantial dinner salad; however, it is deep enough and also hefty enough (retains heat, much better than my Corelle dishes) to use as a noodle bowl for Pho or ramen, or for dumpling soup.
I searched a long time for a good sized noodle bowl, and these are perfect. They are beautiful, stack well, feel very sturdy, and should last a long while

All of our dishes are Bistro line. We like the sizing of the plates and bowls, and the bowls nest close together in the dish washer while still getting clean. Our only disappointment is that the beautiful white finish doesn't stay that way for very long. Within a year, the glazing will show a lot of wear and tear--those gray lines and shadows--and the finish will not be smooth. The dishes all continue to work fine and be otherwise durable, but they look dingy and ugly.

Great Ramen Bowls (9")
I am originally from Japan and make ramen noodles at home very often. However, I have had a very hard time finding just the right sized ramen bowls, like the ones they use at ramen shops in Japan. I also wanted them to be simple and plain (not have any designs/patterns) and wanted to find it in black or white. I Googled and came across this bowl, and it is perfect, just what I was looking for. It's also great as a serving bowl for other types of dishes from potatoes to stir-fries to salads. It's everything proof - dishwasher, microwave, and oven to 395 degrees. I got four and use them often now.

Haven't really used it yet, but it looks great. Looks better than the Williams Sonoma bowl

Great looking, very functional bowls
Love these serving bowls. Have the bistro cereal bowls as well, which work great for individual generous sized salads. Cereal bowls hold about 3 cups, 9 inch serving bowl holds about 5 1/2 cups and the 10.5 inch serving bowl holds about 11 cups. Nice shape.

Great, with a caveat
I ordered both a 9" and 10.5" to determine which size worked best for my needs (a general purpose, single-size soup/pasta bowl) before buying additional bowls. The 9" is great for that. The 10.5" is definitely 'oversized' (for one person) and more suited to use for multiple people, or as a fruit bowl, (smallish) punch bowl, etc. The caveat is that the 10.5" bowl I received, while seemingly very well made otherwise, has a slightly uneven bottom, which makes it rock somewhat from side to side, vs. sitting perfectly flat, which is pretty much a prerequisite for a bowl. (Being flat - not rocking side to side.) Separate from that, both bowls are very sleek, clean, and substantial. That, and their gracefully flared sides, definitely give them a 'casually elegant' appearance.

My husband likes to have a lot of broth when we have soup for dinner. The regular bowls are too small. These leave room for warming up and not spilling over.

Wondering if these bowls are big enough to serve family style salads and sides?
BEST ANSWER: Is that even if you just put like 4 servings in them with the flared Rim the bowl still looks attractive. But you can also really pile stuff up and serve more so they actually work well no matter how many people you are serving hope this is helpful
