Description

This Japanese-style knife features a unique, flat cutting edge that’s great for push cuts, slicing and dicing vegetables, mincing herbs and cutting fruit or cheese. The hollow-ground blade creates pockets of air that prevent extra-thin or soft slices from sticking as you cut, while the full bolster protects fingers. Wüsthof Classic blades are precision-forged from a single piece of high-carbon stainless steel that remain exquisitely sharp and resist corrosion. Triple-riveted, ergonomic, full-tang handles designed in consultation with professional chefs for exemplary comfort, balance and durability.

Favorite Knife!
Great gift from the in-laws. I'm amazed how vegetables don't stick to the blade! I've had it about a year, and it's still super sharp. I love that it has the combined qualities of a santoku and chef knife in one. This is my go to, all purpose knife

My new favorite knife!
I'll start off first of all saying that I own all Shun knives. I have 7 or 8 of them. I thought they were the best. I had heard about this Wusthof Nakiri knife, and I wanted to try it. After Christmas, I couldn't find it anywhere. The Sur la Table by my house had their display knife which they sold me at a discount, which was nice. This knife is the best knife I have ever used. It is way sharper than my Shun knives and just feels better in my hand. Love it

Amazing knife!
This knife is one of my favorite Wusthuf Classic knives -- and that's saying something considering I have nearly 40 of them in total! (Yes, I know - a little excessive, but I love my Wusthuf Classics!) I enjoy using this knife, in particular for slicing fruits and vegetables. Try this knife out. You won't be disappointed.

My new favorite knife
From the first chop I knew I would love the addition to my knife block. It can do all the chopping and slicing I need. It cuts onions beautifully and makes quick work of a pineapple. Get yours and tell me here if I'm wrong!

Very nice, lightweight knife
Great tool for everyday use. I tend to go for this knife over my other chefs knives now that I've added it to my collection.

Because I was fascinated when I saw Ree Drummond using hers. But I get very frustrated that EVERYTHING sticks to it. But it was too expensive to just get rid of it.

What is the difference between the Nakiri 119.95 & Nakiri 69.95?
A shopper on Sep 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: forged vs stamped steel. forged is heavier, holds it's edge longer, and makes you seem more professional :)
