Excellent Value and works perfectly
I love this pizza stone as it works wonderfully with pizza and artisan bread. Best of all, it's excellent size and works great both in the oven and on the grill. I love the wire handle feature on the side for easy lifting. For the money, this is excellent value. I would recommend it to my friends, any time

Good basic stone
This stone is a good value for the money. No issues with the quality.

Pros:
Inexpensive, easy to care for

Cons:
It is thinnner than some recommended stones, 1"" would be best for durability and heat retention
It is also a bit small at 13"" x15"", but some with smaller ovens might find this a plu

I thought it was a great value for the price
I purchased this pizza stone after taking the pizza class in early January. I loved the class and have made pizza's 2-3 times/month since. A batch of the dough normally makes 6 pizza's. As I was putting pizza #5 into the oven, I noticed the stone split. Up to this point, it made GREAT pizza's and I would have given it 5 stars had it not split just over 2 months after I purchased it.

Low quality, does not hold up to hot oven
Was looking for a small and affordable pizza stone and chose this one based on other reviews. Unfortunately it cracked into four pieces the first time I used it. I used it in a 500 degree oven and put room temperature pizza crusts on it; for the first 45 minutes all was well, but by the time I removed the second pizza it was completely broken. Low quality product.

My Sourdough Bread Secret Weapon
I took a pizza cooking class at Sur La Table and we used these pizza stones in the class. Instantly I fell in love with them. So, I bought one. Shortly after that class, I made some sourdough starter because I love sourdough bread. These stones are a natural when it comes to making bread. Everybody loves my bread and how crispy it comes out! I ended up buying a second one so I cook more loaves at a time. Oh, I have made a few pizzas too! Perfect crust!

Cracked after a few uses
I was given this stone as a gift in February. I cooked maybe half a dozen or so pizzas with it and had great results. About 2 months ago, when I went to take the pizza out of the oven, I noticed that the stone had cracked in half. It went into the over fine (I put it in the cold oven to let it heat up with the oven) but cracked at some point during cooking. It had shown no signs of damage before it cracked, and I followed the care instructions exactly.

Stone cracked under normal cooking conditions. Very disappointed
I've only used this pizza stone on 3 occasions since receiving it as a gift last Christmas (so 7 months ago). I was afraid this pizza stone was too thin, but had not had any problems until making pizza yesterday. Yesterday I put the stone in a cold oven so it warmed slowly to 400 degrees. After we made the pizzas, I turned off the oven to let the stone cool slowly. Today when I took the stone out of the oven, it was cracked. Very disappointed, because the cost of the stone obviously wasn't worth it.

I wanted a rectangular pizza stone to use under my turkey roasting pan---it is supposed to evenly cook the whole turkey (dark meat closest to stone) evenly per Cook's Magazine.
Linda T on Oct 26, 2016
I like making square pizzas when trying to create a 4 topping pizza. When I use a cookie sheet, the edges of the pizza crust get too puffy. Don't get me wrong, I love carbs but for pizza, you want your crust edges to be the same size. when it comes to height.

Are the rack and the stone one piece, and can BOTH withstand the heat of a gas or charcoal grill
A shopper on Jul 22, 2011
BEST ANSWER: This baking stone is terrific for other baked goods such as bread and pastries, too. The convenient serving rack allows you to bring the stone to the table, so serving is easy. Stoneware pizza stone with chrome-plated steel wire rack. Hand wash. These are two seperate pieces and even thought the rack is chrome plated stainless steel, I would recommend using it for serving purposes only

BEST ANSWER: Regarding frozen anything - a big no-no. Just think about it. You'd be begging for the stone to crack by creating thermal shock, putting cold on hot. I have seen manufacturers state specifically frozen pizza is not to be used unless brought to room temperature first. Pizza crust is very easy to make. Regarding any oily foods, I've read manufacturer warnings to not use the stone for them due to the possibility of the oil smoking. I'm looking forward to buying a non-Chinese stone for solely my breads and pizza. I bought nice cookie sheets for everything else.
Is this stone flat on both sides, or does it have little feet on one side?
A shopper on Sep 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The pizza stone is flat on both sides so both sides can be used. It fits into the stainless steel rack perfectly.
I love this stone. Make sure you heat your oven to 400 degrees or so before you place anything on it or it will crack

Use it dry or sprinkle ground cornmeal on it before placing pizza for the New York feel

Enjoy!
Can you cut pizza on the stone?
A shopper on Feb 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have not cut pizza on the stone and wouldn't recommend it
What material is stone made of?
