Awfully narrow
I got the 9.5"" ring hoping to use it to make quiche, but it's only about 3/4"" deep. Had the description included this fact, I probably woulndn't have ordered. Also, it's a solid ring; better would be if it had a hinge to snap open for unmolding

Plan to use to make non-traditional pizza crusts, tart bottom only crusts, etc. to create form/shape and easily remove ring once baking is done. Free-formed is fine for some things but this will hopefully make for a nice presentation (yes, I'm a foodie :-)). For the price, can't wait to experiment with different food preparations.

To make a French flan you need a proper French flan pan, not a cake tin.

Do i find a tarte ring in the store or i should order it online?

tarte ring
A shopper on Jan 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This ring is available in stores and online.
Is it possible to get a deeper ring -- 1" depth? For decadent custard tarts this can be a more pleasing depth.
A shopper on Dec 31, 2014
BEST ANSWER: We don't currently carry any flan rings that are 1" deep.
Do you think these rings would work on a griddle, as egg and/or English muffin molds?
Kitsie F on Mar 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have used them for eggs and they worked well, they need to be sprayed or coated with shortening to make them non-stick. I have also used them for a batter bread on a baking sheet and as molds for individual pot pies.
has the 6" been discontinued? my local stores don't have them either.
A shopper on Aug 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, it hasn't been discontinued. We're just out of stock online & in a few of our stores.
what is the depth of the 4"" and 6"" flan rin
A shopper on Aug 27, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Both of these are 3/4"" deep
