Description

ECO-FRIENDLY This beautiful cutting board is manufactured from the finest northern-white species of hard rock maple. Cutting board is a bowl shape which is ideal for chopping herbs with a mezzaluna chopper. The shape is designed to bring products being chopped back to the center of the board. The board features cutout handles, making it easy to lift. The cutouts also allow you to slide a dish under the board to empty contents from the board into the dish.

Maple wood is naturally anti-bacterial and won’t harbor any bacteria. The Boos cream finish creates a protective layer that prevents food and moisture from damaging the wood board.

BEST ANSWER: I really prefer the flat cutting board. The concave ones hold juices but the flat gives you a crisper cut. You are always wipe away any veggie juice the drips off. You are going to wipe the counter anyway. BTW- We LOVE the mezzaluna itself and use almost everyday. Many of our family and friends have now bought one. It makes cooking so much easier.
What size mezzaluna will fit inside the bowl?
A shopper on Sep 14, 2014
BEST ANSWER: A mezzaluna no larger than 8" is suggested for this board.
I have a two-handle 8-inch curved mezzaluna and want to use this to chop things like green onions, celery, garlic. Will these small things stay inside the bowl? The flat cutting board does not work as they fly off the board. Thanks
Carol on Sep 14, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This board is a bit shallow, but it would certainly work better than a flat board. Just make sure the blade you use is no larger than 8".
