Excellent tool that I use often!
I have been a recipe developer for years and finally started a food blog called Chew Wanna Eat? I bought this tool a few years ago from Sur La Table and never got around to writing a review on a tool that I use often.

When you want to remove "something" you've boiled and scoop a large quantity at once, a slotted spoon just doesn't cut it. I purposely used the word something because I've used the skimmer for cooked veggies, pasta, shrimp, and probably lots more.

Today I was working on a tomato bisque soup with tortellini and shrimp. I was able to use my skimmer twice. Love it.

How large is 'blade'/skimmer part?
Rosamary D on Sep 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not sure what you mean when you refer to the blade but the overall length of this is 16-1/2 inches long and the skimmer part is 5 inches in diameter. It is bigger than I thought it would be when ordered. Hope this helps.
