Peach-Mint Lemonade

Serves: For a 2-gallon beverage jar

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups granulated sugar
  • 5½ quarts water
  • 2 cups fresh mint leaves
  • 8 peaches, peeled and quartered (or 3 pounds sliced, frozen peaches)
  • 6 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (40 to 45 lemons)
  • 30 fresh mint sprigs
  • Ice cubes

Procedures:

Give your lemonade a pretty pink twist with the refreshing flavor of mint and a sweet serving of peaches.

Combine sugar and 4 cups water over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture is clear. Add mint and boil for 2 minutes. Cool to room temperature, strain. Purée peaches with syrup. Add lemon juice and remaining water; pour through a fine sieve into beverage jar. Add ice, garnish with mint.
