Gemelli Pasta with Italian Sausage and Broccoli
Serves
Makes 1 serving
Ingredients
  • 1 cup gemelli pasta
  • 1 Italian sausage, case removed
  • ½ cup broccoli florets
  • 2 tsp. tomato paste
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Procedure
Cooking time in microwave: 12 minutes.

The Lékué Pasta Cooker is much faster than making pasta on the stove-top because you don’t have to wait for the water to boil, plus, it’s a 3-in-1 pot, strainer and mixing bowl.

* Testing conducted on 800W microwave. Follow the packaging instructions and adjust to your microwave and tastes.

Remove the casing from the sausage by lightly running a knife down the link. Casing will peel off easily. Cut into ½-inch pieces.

Put the pasta and sausage into the Lékué Pasta Cooker and add enough water to cover the pasta.

Place the Pasta Cooker in microwave and cook for 7 minutes. Add broccoli and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Remove from microwave, flip the lid, and drain all but a couple tablespoons of the water.

Add the tomato paste directly to the cooked pasta and mix until paste thins out, creating a sauce.

Season with salt and pepper.
