Classic Gin Fizz
By Charlotte Bernhardt
Serves
Makes 1 serving
Ingredients
- ¾ oz. lemon
- ½ oz. simple syrup
- Egg white
- Club soda
- Lemon wheel
Procedure
This delicious drink is as much fun to shake up as it is to drink. It’s a zingy mix of lemon, simple syrup and gin, but the airy egg white gives it some festive fizziness.
Place all ingredients in a cobbler- or Boston-style shaker and dry shake vigorously (shake without ice) to ensure that the egg white is thoroughly incorporated. Add ice, and shake again until chilled. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a Collins (highball) glass and top with soda. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
