Spicy Nuts
Ingredients
  • 6–8 cups of your favorite nuts or mixed nuts (pecans, almonds, walnuts, pistachios, peanuts, cashews)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter

  • Seasoning mix:
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon of water

Procedure
Add nuts to Pop & Roast Stovetop Snack Maker and place on medium heat. Begin turning handle to roast nuts. At 3 to 4 minutes, they should darken up.

Remove the pan from the burner, let cool for a couple of minutes (you don’t want to burn the butter).

Add ¼ cup unsalted butter and turn handle to cover nuts with butter.

When nuts are covered with butter, add the seasonings through the flavor port in the lid.

Put the Pop and Roast back on the medium heat and add water.

Continue turning the handle until the sauce fully coats the nuts, about 1 minute.

Remove from heat and continue to stir for another minute.

Empty the nuts into a serving bowl and let sit for about 15 to 20 minutes. They will harden as they cool. Break up with a spoon and enjoy!
