Acorn Squash

Serves: Makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 acorn squash, cut into 1-inch rings
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter


Procedures:

Fill water tank with water. Place the squash in steamer basket(s). Sprinkle squash with sugar, a pinch of cinnamon and salt. Cover steamer and set timer to 18 minutes.

Steam for 18 minutes or until fork tender. When steaming is complete, remove, brush with butter, garnish as desired and serve.
